BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team finished runner-up at the St. Catharine College Fall Invitational played today at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood.
The Blue Raiders climbed one spot today after firing a 304 -- the best round of the day. Lindsey Wilson ended the two-day tournament with a 607 (303-304) to finish eight strokes behind tournament winner University of Cumberlands' 599 (293-306).
Host St. Catharine ended in third with a 609 (298-311).
Lindsey Wilson sophomore Nathan Clark finished second overall with a 148 (75-73). He climbed nine spots on the final day with his one-over par 73. Campbellsville's Scott Foster finished two strokes in front of Clark with a 146 (72-74) to earn medalist honors.
Junior Daron Morris finished in a tie for ninth place with a 151 (75-76) while senior Chris Lewis ended in a tie for 14th with a 154 (74-80).
Senior Nicolas Navarro's 156 (79-77) and freshman Nathan Hincks' 158 (80-78) was good enough for a tie for 18th and 23rd respectively. Ryne Burnett -- playing as an individual -- tied for 26th with a 161 (79-82).
The Blue Raiders conclude their fall season with two wins and two runner-ups in five tournaments. Lindsey Wilson returns in March for its spring season.
