BUENA VISTA,Va. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior Chase Spreen scored a career-high 26 points to lead the Blue Raiders to an 81-66 win over Virginia University of Lynchburg tonight at the Southern Virginia University Classic.

Spreen narrowly missed his first double-double of the season as the Bedford, Ind. product pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in the win. He finished the night making 8-of-11 shots from the field -- including two of his three three-point attempts -- and eighth of his nine free throws.

Spreen's hot hand was contagious as the Blue Raiders (2-0) as a team shot 53.2 percent (25-of-47) from the field on the night. Lindsey Wilson also connected on half of their 14 three pointers.

Sophomore Chase Cox continued his stellar shooting to start the season with a 4-for-7 performance from beyond the three-point arc. Cox -- who finished with 12 points -- has made 56.3 percent of his threes this season.

Junior Kalen Kimberland and freshman Giorgos Pramagioulis added 10 and 11 points respectively in the win. Pramagioulis finished with a perfect shooting night -- making all three of his shots from the field and all four of his free throws -- in just his second game as a Blue Raider.

Lindsey Wilson built a 45-19 halftime lead thanks to the combination of its red-hot shooting (60-percent) and outstanding defense -- Virginia-Lynchburg (0-1) shot just 29.6 percent (8-of-27) in the first 20 minutes.

Lindsey Wilson coasted in the second half as every Blue Raiders played and all but one scored in the win.

Virginia-Lynchburg's Tauvidas Kairys scored a team-high 13 points in the loss.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 5 as the Blue Raiders face Union (Ky.) College for the second time in four days. Lindsey Wilson beat Union 78-59 on Nov. 1 in both team's season opener in Columbia.
