LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team moved up one spot on Friday to finish sixth at the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate hosted by University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at Crooked Creek Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders shaved 11 strokes off its opening round team-total of 315 to shoot 304 on Friday and concluded the tournament with a 619. Host Cumberlands captured the team title with a 589 (300-289).
Lindsey Wilson sophomore Antonio Arriola shot a team-best two-over par 74 on Friday to earn a top-10 finish in the 99-man field. Arriola ended the tournament with a two-day total of 150 (76-74) to finish in a tie for ninth overall.
Senior Joe Hood tied for 20th with a two-day total of 155 (76-79) and sophomore Daron Morris tied for 29th with a 157 (82-75). Juniors Nicolas Navarro's 158 (81-77) and Chris Lewis' 160 (82-78) finished in ties for 34th and 40th respectively.
Freshman Rob Clark -- playing as an individual -- tied for 63rd with a two-day total of 169 (83-86)
Cumberlands' Aaron Watkins won the event with a two-under par 142 (75-67).
Lindsey Wilson returns to action April 11-12 at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament hosted by Pikeville (Ky.) College at Stonecrest Golf Club in Prestonsburg, Ky.
