KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team notched its third runner-up finish of the season today with a second-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament at the Cattails at Meadowview Resort.

The Blue Raiders ended the two days with a team score of 574 (282-292). University of the Cumberlands won the tournament with a 548 (279-269).

After entering today's final round tied for the lead, Lindsey Wilson's Nathan Clark and Nicolas Navarro slipped down the leaderboard after six players shot under par in the final round.

Clark ended tied for fourth to make the all-tournament team after posting a two-day total of three-under par 139 (68-71) on the par 71 Cattails course.

Navarro ended in eighth position with a even-par 142 (68-74).

Lindsey Wilson's Chris Lewis and Ryne Burnett tied for 13th overall after shooting 147s over the two days. Lewis carded a 73 yesterday and 74 today while Burnett provided a 74 on Monday and 73 today.

Daron Morris ended tied for 19th in the 46-man field with a 151 (73-78) to complete the Blue Raider squad.

Cumberlands' Aaron Watkins captured his second straight individual title with a nine-under par 133 (68-65). He finished four strokes in front of teammate Matt Walton.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 23-24 at the Mid-South Conference Championships at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood in Bardstown, Ky.
