LOUISVILLE, Ky. – John-Paul Williamson finished in second place in the 8,000 meter run at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday. The Blue Raiders finished as a team in 30th place.
Williamson ran a time of 25:43.16 to capture second place in a field of 319 runners.
The Blue Raiders ran an average of 30:11.82 and a total time of 2:30:59.97 to place in 30th position. Lindenwood (Mo.) University won the event with a team score of 89 and a total time of 2:15:41.42 while Carneige Mellon (Pa.) University finished in second place with a total time of 2:15:53.17.
Cody Hymer ran a 30:18.19 to finish in 186th place. Austin Childress finished in 228th place with a time of 31:31.34 while Steven Struck placed 236 with a time of 31:42.34. Jonathan Crossett ran a 31:44.05 to place 238th for the Blue Raiders
Bernard Graham placed 249th with a time of 31:58.43. Hayden Sorrels ran a 32:36.91 to place 269. Brent Will ran a 32:53.53 to finish in 277th place.
The Blue Raiders men's cross country next meet is the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational in Owensboro, Ky. on October 12.
