LAWRENCE, Kan. – John-Paul Williamson finished in 60th place at the 2013 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship race at Rim Rock Farm on Saturday.
Williamson finished the race in a time of 25:32.93, second best in NAIA Championship individual history at Lindsey Wilson College. Williamson was one of 313 student-athletes that competed in the men's cross country national championship race.
Williamson ran two minutes faster than his 2012 men's cross country national championship time (27:20) and placed 150 spots better than last season.
Eric Avila of Southern Oregon won the 2013 Men's Cross Country National Championship individual event with a time of 24:02. 45. Avila averaged a four minute and fifty-second mile during his race.
On the team side, Oklahoma City won the 2013 Men's Cross Country National Championship team event with a time of 2:05:10.84, a 25:02.17 average per harrier.
