COLUMBIA, Ky. -- John-Paul Williamson won the men's 8K race in 26:12 to lead the Blue Raiders Saturday at the Berea (Ky.) Invitational. Garry Korir finished in 27:44 to place 11th and Cody Hymer was 25th in 29:27.
The Blue Raiders finished fourth out of seven teams with 112 points.
This was the first career victory for Williamson, who finished second at last year's Berea Invitational and third at last year's Mid-South Conference Championship.
Tennessee Wesleyan won the men's team title with 27 points with all five scored runners placing in the top ten. Berea finished second with 71 points and Campbellsville (Ky.) was third with 81 points.
Next up for Lindsey Wilson is the Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 5, set to start at 12 p.m. CT.
