COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson looked to steal a Mid-South Conference game from No. 11 Georgetown (Ky.), but came up short in a 91-87 loss at Biggers Sports Center on Sunday.

Tony Horne scored 22 points and Daronte' Clark added 20 to pace the Blue Raiders (12-9, 3-6 MSC). Tyrie Orosco came off the bench to score 12 points and grab six rebounds while D'on Hall chipped in 11 points.

Both teams battled for most of the first half, with seven lead changes and seven ties. After a Noah Cottrill field goal tied the score at 29-29 at the 4:42 mark, the Blue Raiders went on a 10-6 run to go up 39-35 with 1:35 left in the half. Georgetown used a 4-0 run to tie the game with 33 seconds remaining, but Horne would sink a three-pointer with five seconds on the clock to give Lindsey Wilson a 42-39 lead at the break.

Horne scored 13 of his 22 points in the opening half, while three Blue Raiders had three rebounds apiece. Georgetown made 12-of-15 free throws compared to just 5-of-8 for Lindsey Wilson.

Lindsey Wilson controlled much of the second half, pushing its lead to a game-high 11 points on a three-pointer from Clark with 11:48 to play. Georgetown answered with a 16-9 run to pull within four with just under six minutes remaining.

Clark hit his third three-pointer on the night to put the Blue Raiders back up by seven at the 5:38 mark. The two teams would exchange baskets until the Tigers used a 6-0 run to take their first lead of the second half with 2:24 to play.

With the Tigers leading 87-86, Georgetown's Montavious Marc hit a shot with 11 seconds remaining to take a three-point lead. Clark was fouled before the Blue Raiders could get off a three-point shot attempt. Clark made his first free throw and intentionally missed the second, but Lindsey Wilson was called with a violation and Georgetown was awarded the ball.

Lindsey Wilson was forced to send Monty Wilson to the line with three seconds left, where he made both to secure the 91-87 win.

Wilson shot 14-of-17 from the free throw line and led the Tigers (15-5, 6-3 MSC) with 32 points. Marc recorded an 11-rebound, 13-point double-double while Dominique Hagans netted 15 points with eight boards.

The Blue Raiders' bench outscored the Tiger's 37-16, but allowed 15 points off nine turnovers and 21 second-chance points. Georgetown also shot 23-of-30 from the charity stripe compared to Lindsey Wilson's 14-of-24.

Lindsey Wilson travels to Campbellsville (Ky.) for a 7 p.m. CT MSC contest on Jan. 30.
