WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) used a 24-5 run to start the game to defeat Lindsey Wilson men's basketball 68-50 on Saturday afternoon at O. Wayne Rollins Center.

Lindsey Wilson (14-14, 5-11 MSC) was led by Roderick Clark who finished the game with a team-high nine points. Tyrie Orosco led all Blue Raiders with 10 rebounds to go with his six points.

The Blue Raiders struggled scoring in the first half as they committed 13 turnovers compared to six for the Patriots as Cumberlands built an early 24-5 lead that stretched to 30-12 at the half.

Cumberlands (17-10, 9-8 MSC) continued to build their lead in the second half to 50-30 before Lindsey Wilson fought to get the game within 11 points at 55-44 with 2:47 left in the game. That was as close as the Blue Raiders would get as the Patriots ended the game on 13-6 run to seal a 68-50 win.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the court on Thursday, Feb. 27 as they face University of Rio Grande (Ohio) at 8 p.m. CT in Biggers Sports Center.
