WALESKA, Ga. – After finishing in second place through day one with a 303, the Lindsey Wilson men's golf team shot a team-total 293 to win the Reinhardt (Ga.) University Invitational at the Callahan Golf Links.
Franck Medale followed his opening-round 73 with a 74 to finish first overall with a three-over par total of 147. Medale was in third place after the first day, trailing Reinhardt's Tanner Boyd (71) and teammate Chris Butler (72). Boyd hit a six-over par 78 to finish tied with Lindsey Wilson's Jonathon Grabara, who hit a one-under par 71 for a five-over par 149 total.
Nathan Hincks tied for fifth place, rebounding from an 80 on the first day with a 73 for a total of 153. Alex Durham also hit an 80 to open play and finished with a 75 for a 155 total and tied for 12th place. Butler could not replicate his opening day performance, hitting an 85 to finish tied for 17th with a 157 total.
Zach Madewell, who golfed as an individual, hit an 82 the first day and an 83 the second to finish 29th with a 165 total.
The Blue Raiders combined for an invitational-best 293 on the second day to win the seven-team tournament with a 596 total. Reinhardt took second place after hitting a 603 total, followed by Truett-McConnell (Ga.) College with a 628.
Next up for Lindsey Wilson is the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Invitational on March 24-25 in London, Ky.
