ROME, Ga. -- Lindsey Wilson men's golf finished in second place at the George H. Bedwell Memorial Invitational at the par-72, 6,721 yard Stonebridge Golf Course on Tuesday.
Lindsey Wilson shot a 318 in the final round to finish the tournament with a team score of 631 (313-318), one stroke in front of Young Harris who placed third with a 632 (308-324). University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) took first place with a 608 after shooting a final round 307. Birmingham Southern (Ala.) took fourth place after shooting a 661 (332-329).
Franck Medale (76-75) shot a final round 3-over par 75 to move up seven spots and finish in third place, four strokes behind Michal Pospisil (72-75) of Cumberlands who shot 3-over par 147 to win the the Invitational. This is Medale's seventh top-3 finish this season and his fourth this spring. Pospisil's teammate Viktor Madsen (75-73) took second place with a 4-over par 148.
Lindsey Wilson's Nathan Hincks (76-84) slipped six spots in the final round to finish in a tie for 16th place with a final score of 16-over par 160. Federico Navarro (82-79) shot a final round 7-over par 79 to finish the Invitational in a tie for 19th place. Chris Butler (79-82) tied Navarro in 19th place after Butler shot a 10-over par 82 on day two.
Jonathon Grabara (83-82) tied for 26th place after his 10-over par 82 final round.
Lindsey Wilson travels to Bardstown, Ky. on Monday, April 21 for the start of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
