PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – The Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team put together a third-place finish at the Shawnee State Invitational on Friday evening at the Earl Thomas Conley Riverside Park.
Blue Raiders Elena Oslund and Maria Cozzens both turned in top-10 finishes at the race. Oslund finished ninth with a time of 19:57 while Cozzens took 10th with a 20:00 time in the 5K event.
Ally Davis placed 19th with a time of 21:05 while Mia Cornette finished in 23rd at 21:22.
Abbie Chandler, Breana Conway and Sara Canada were the final Blue Raiders to score points finishing 25th, 27th and 29th, respectively.
Cozzens, along with Kaitlyn Davis who finished with a time of 22:41, both set personal bests in the race.
As a team, Lindsey Wilson finished with a time of 1:43:59 and 72 points.
Shawnee State (Ohio) won the invitational after scoring an event-low 20 points with a total time of 1:34:41. Georgetown (Ky.) took second with 51 points and a team time of 1:40.59.
Georgetown's Tayler Godar was named individual champion after winning the race with a time of 18:37.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Oct. 4 when they compete in the Greater Louisville Classic.
