The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams opened up their indoor seasons at the University of Indianapolis (Ind.) on Saturday.
John-Paul Williamson, Cameron Murphy, Ben Hoffman, and Trevor Wright were the top finishers on the men's side. Williamson won the Mile Run with a time of 4:27.99, and Murphy finished 9th in the preliminary heat of the 60-Meter Hurdles in 8.94 seconds. In the 800-Meter Run, Hoffman finished sixth in 2:04.08, Wright finished eighth in 2:06.69, and Murphy came in ninth place with a time of 2:06.76.
The women were led by Nikki Coffey and Maria Cozzens in the 3000-Meter Run, and Kaylin Anderson in the 800-Meter Run. Coffey crossed the line in 10:51.75 to secure a fifth-place finish, and Cozzens ran a time of 11:20.06 to finish in 12th place in a 20-competitor field. Anderson ran a time of 2:29.80 to earn a fourth-place finish.
