CAPE GIRADEAU, Mo. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team finished ninth out of 14 teams at the Challenge at Dalhousie on Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Raiders totaled a two-round 614 (307-307). Lindsey Wilson closed out play three strokes ahead of Missouri Valley and three strokes behind Culver-Stockton (Mo.).
Playing at the 6,960-yard course at the Dalhousie Golf Club, Ryan Nowe was Lindsey Wilson's top individual finisher as he tied for ninth with a 3-over par 147 (74-73). Federico Navarro tied for 24th with a 7-over par 151 (77-74).
Three Blue Raiders tied for 59th with scores of 161: Nathan Hincks, Chris Butler and Alex Durham.
The two-day tournament featured 80 competitors and a trio of top-25 programs, including No. 1 William Woods (Mo.).
The top-ranked Owls won in sudden death over No. 19 Mobile (Ala.) to claim the team title. Mobile's Zach Day earned the individual victory with a 9-under par 135 (65-70).
Up next for Lindsey Wilson will be the Spring Mid-South Conference Tournament on March 30-31. The event is hosted by Pikeville (Ky.).
