Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 21-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team tied with No. 8-ranked Campbellsville in a Mid-South Conference matchup (Ky.), 4-4, on Friday night.
Coming off of a four-goal game on Tuesday against Cumberlands (Ky.) Aleksi Pahkasalo scored three goals tonight for the Blue Raiders (5-3-1, 2-0-1 MSC).
The Tigers (7-0-1, 0-0-1 MSC) got on the scoreboard first in the fifth minute with a goal by Ignacio Mangada. Pahkasalo answered in the 17th minute for his first goal of the night off a free kick. Lindsey Wilson outshot Campbellsville seven to five in the first half.
Pahkasalo gave the Blue Raiders a lead in the 56th minute with Mutaya Mwape picking up his first of two assists on the night. The Tigers answered back with a goal of their own from Alex Higdon in the 60th minute. Lindsey Wilson retook the lead again in the 62nd minute off an Andres Riquelme goal.
Campbellsville tied it back up in the 77th minute with a Diego Morales score. Pahkasalo scored his third goal of the night in the 89th minute off a curling free kick.. Nathan Heath tied it in the 90th minute on a penalty kick off a handball in the box.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Friday Oct. 7 against Jamestown (N.D.) at Walter S. Reuling Stadium at 7 p.m. CT.
