ST. LOUIS – Aaron Osborne raced his way to a fifth-place finish as the Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team finished fourth at the St. Louis Fall Classic on Saturday, hosted by the St. Louis College of Pharmacy at Forest Park.
Osborne crossed the line in 26 minutes and 13.5 seconds, edging out Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Tyler Alverson by less than two seconds for the top-five finish.
Jonathan Long, Clay Priddy and Trajon Hall all crossed the line within four places of each other. Long took 29th at 27:52.3, Priddy finished 31st at 27:57.5, and Hall took 32 with his time of 28:05.3. Ben Hoffman was the final Blue Raider to contribute to the team score, capturing 39th place with his time of 28:27.0.
Shortly behind Hoffman, Caleb Watson finished 42nd with a time of 28:37.7. Marcus Terrell ran a 28:44.9 to take 49th and Trevor Shearer completed the Lindsey Wilson team with an 85th-place finish at 32:00.8 in the 107-man field.
Lindsey Wilson's team score comprised of the top-five Blue Raider finishers added up to 135 points, good enough for fourth place. Campbellsville (Ky.) won the event with 44 team points, followed by College of the Ozarks (Mo.) with 89 points and Cumberland (Tenn.) with 90 points in third place.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action for the Mid-South Conference Championships scheduled for Nov. 5 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
