The Blue Raiders came out hot to start the second half, using a 10-2 run to build a 43-29 lead with 16:18 to play. Cumberlands promptly responded with a 12-2 run of their own to cut the Blue Raider lead down to 45-41 with 12:40 to go. The Patriots continued to whittle down the lead over the next six minutes, trimming it all the way down a single point at 51-50 with the help of a hefty offensive rebounding advantage.

Lindsey Wilson had an answer though and scored nine straight, capped off by a steal and fast break layup by Wallace to push the lead back to double digits at the 3:36 mark at 60-50. Cumberlands went 0-for-2 with two turnovers during the Blue Raider run.

The Patriots refused to go away quietly though and cut the lead back down to six at 64-58 with one minute to play.

From there the game would be decided at the free throw line as Cumberlands began intentionally fouling, sending the Blue Raiders to the line. But the Lindsey Wilson shooters were up to the task as Brandon Berry, Lambert, and Wallace combined to go 9-for-10 in the final minute, including a 6-for-6 performance by Wallace.

Cumberlands kept pace with back-to-back three pointers to make it 69-64, but were unable to claw any closer as two-straight misses and two makes by Berry at the stripe sealed the game.
