VANCOUVER, Wash. – Mia Cornette finished in 220th place at the 2017 NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, held at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.
The senior crossed the tape in 20 minutes and three seconds, with an average pace of six minutes 27 seconds. She placed in 220th place out of 338 competitors in her first appearance at the national championship 5K event.
British Columbia took home the 2017 team national title with 109 total points, beating out second place Wayland Baptist (Texas) with 125 points.
Oklahoma City's Aminat Olowora won the individual national title for the second year in a row, beating out the next closest competitor by 30 seconds.
