ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. -- The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team shot its best round of the Truett-McConnell University Fall Preview today to finish in eighth place at the Barnsley Gardens Resort.
Lindsey Wilson posted a team-total 313 today to finish the three-round tournament with a 945 (314-318-313).
Callum Blinkhorn shot his best round of the tournament with a 1-under par 71, to climb eight spots up the leaderboard into a tie for seventh. The 71 was one shot off the best round of the day, posted by Point's (Ga.) Tanner Lee.
Blinkhorn finished the two-day event with a total of 223 (77-75-71). Today's round gives Blinkhorn his eighth sub-par rounds this fall.
Callum Burns tied for 33rd in the 70-man field with a 236 (78-77-81) while Morgan Grace ended in a tie for 41st with a 238 (79-84-75). Jeremiah Hayes carded a 248 (80-82-86) to finish 55th. Etienne Rensburg withdrew from the tournament during today's final round.
Dalton State (Ga.) won the 11-team tournament with an 885 (302-290-293) while Point finished second at 895 (300-305-290). Dalton State's Sport Allmond captured the individual tournament title with a 214 (72-69-73).
Lindsey Wilson closes out its fall schedule today, returning in the early spring to complete the 2018-19 season.
