Across the first 20 minutes of action the Blue Raiders and the Tigers were stuck in a defensive battle around midfield that resulted in only a few shots for both squads. Lindsey Wilson nearly capitalized from just 8-yards out during the 22th minute when Revanales found the ball close to the Campbellsville goal and dribbled around defenders but couldn't convert on the scoring chance.

The Blue Raiders were able to convert on a golden opportunity during the 30th minute when an LWC player was fouled just outside the 18-yard box, giving Lindsey Wilson a free kick. Neville Morgan curved a low, hard shot around a wall of Tiger defenders that dove into the lower left corner of the goal.

Seven minutes later Campbellsville would create an opportunity of their own. Troy Walter broke free from Blue Raider defenders and fired a shot from 20-yards, but LWC goalkeeper Noah Slepicka denied the attempt.

The Blue Raiders were able to strike quickly in the second half scoring two goals just 56 seconds apart to give Lindsey Wilson a 3-0 advantage seven minutes into the half. The first came off a Revanales rebound that bounced out directly to Rainer De Jesus on the left corner of the six-yard box, easily finishing into an open goal to double the LWC lead.

Moments later De Jesus played a through ball on the edge of the 18-yard box to Revenales who was able to power a shot into the left corner, increasing the Blue Raider lead to 3-0. Revenales then cashed in on the games next two goals, securing the natural hat trick and giving LWC a commanding 5-0 lead. Morgan and De Jesus picked up the assists on the plays.

Campbellsville's Rafael Murube would end Lindsey Wilson's shutout with just over 12 minutes left in the game to cut the LWC lead to 4, at 5-1.

Just over a minute later, Karim Jouini scored the game's final goal on an assist from Dioulde Niane to give the Blue Raiders the 6-1 victory in their MSC home opener.
