PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson Men's golf team turned in a seventh-place finish at the Skyhawk Invitational. The Blue Raiders finished the three-round, two-day tournament held at Callaway Gardens – a par 72, 7,057-yard course -- with a total score of 925.
Host school Point (Ga.) finished in first place for the tournament after combining to shoot a three round 16-over par, 880 for the tournament. South Carolina Beaufort took second with an 887 as Truett-McConnell finished in third with an 890.
Callum Blinkhorn led the charge for the Blue Raiders as he managed to hold the lead after the first round with a tournament-low five under par, 67-stroke round. He would then post a 75-77 during his final two rounds today to finish in fifth place at three-over par.
Morgan Grace turned in a three-round score of 77-73-79 to finish in 22nd place at the tournament while Callum Burns added 81-79-79 to end his competition in 50th place.
Colby White and Cody Mingus also competed at the invitational for the Blue Raiders where they turned in three-round scores of 84-83-77 and an 83-78-85, respectively.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Thursday and Friday when they compete at the Spring Break Invitational at Grand National Lake Course in Opelika, Alabama.
