MESA, Ariz. – Callum Blinkhorn saw his successful sophomore campaign come to a close on Wednesday as he missed the cut by one stroke at the 2019 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships being played at Las Sendas Golf Club.
Blinkhorn, who averaged 70.64 strokes over 28 rounds this season, carded a 7-over par 78 during the second round at the par-71, 6,925-yard course. He finished his tournament with a two-day total 152 (74-78) in a tie for 45th place. The final individuals to make the cut scored a 151 over the two days and were tied for 39th place.
Ben Hadden of Kansas Wesleyan is still the individual leader now at 4-under par as Texas Wesleyan leads the team standings after improving by one stroke to 8-over par.
Blinkhorn finishes his season with six victories, nine top five finishes and 11 placements inside the top ten. He was named the Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Year and earned All-MSC First Team honors.
