BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team opened their season with a third-place finish at the Drakes Creek Scramble Saturday morning at Philmore Park.
LWC finished with a team score of 94 points. Junior Levi Owens ran a 16:18.96 to earn a ninth-place finish. Sophomore Jim Headrick earned himself a twelfth-place finish by running a 16:30.33. Jonathon Long and Jordan Tucker also finished in the top-30 for the Blue Raiders.
Long finished with a time of 16:50.42 and Tucker finished with a 17:11.06.
The Bears of Shawnee State recorded a team score of 23, securing the gold.
The Blue Raiders men's cross country team will be back in action Sept. 21 at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival in Clarksville, Tennessee.
