Men's golf ties for fourth at the Music City Invitational

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team tied for fourth place at the Music City Invitational hosted by Cumberland at Twelve Stones Golf Club. The Blue Raiders combined to shoot 598 (298-300) at the par-72, 6,923-yard design.

Janik Hawlitzky who opened his day one stroke off the lead after firing an even-par round of 72 on the first day would finish the tournament tied for eighth place. He closed with a 75 stroke round today to finish with 147 strokes for the invitational.

Callum Burns climbed the leaderboard in the final round from 22nd place to a tie for 11th. After firing an open round of 76, Burns managed a one-over-par 73 to close out the tournament.

Jeremiah Hayes carded a 151 (75-76) to tie for 17th as Emil Gruhn produced a 153 (75-78) to finish in 22nd place. Sebastian Sandin claimed 26th place with a two-round total of 155 (79-76).

Blake Biggs played as an individual where he finished in 61st place with a 170 (87-83).

Point (Ga.) took home the team championship with a 588 (297-291) as Jake Miller of IU East took home the individual championship with a three-under-par two day total.

The Blue Raiders wrap up play in the Music City Invite tomorrow morning as they compete in their second round of action.
