BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's cross-country team finished in fourth place at the 2021 Mid-South Conference Championship, an eight-kilometer race at Phil Moore Park this afternoon.
Lindsey Wilson tied with Cumberland (Tenn.) in third place with 130 points but lost on the tie breaker 3-2 to fall to fourth place. The Blue Raiders averaged a time of 27 minutes and 50 seconds as a team.
Levi Owens paced all Lindsey Wilson harriers at the event, finishing in eighth place. He crossed the finish line in 26:42.8 with an average kilometer time of 3:20.3. Based on his finish he has qualified as an individual for the 2021 NAIA National Championship.
Nolan Foushee took 26th place with a time of 27:39.1 as Justin Stearns raced his way to a 30th place finish with his time of 27:50.5. Victor Clark crossed the finish line in 40th place with his time of 28:19.2 as Jordan Tucker finished seven spots behind with a mark of 28:35.4. Jim Headrick finished in 53rd with a time of 28:47.8.
Other notable finishes for the Blue Raiders include Abel Marcus placing 84th (30:47.4), Nicholas Cummings in 86th (30:56.5), and Jace Cowman finishing 92nd (31:24.7).
Owens will close out the Lindsey Wilson men's cross-country schedule when he competes at the 2021 NAIA National Championship in Vancouver, Wash., on Nov. 19.
