Men's Golf Claims Third Straight Victory with Win at Music City Invite; Waugh and Saigal Tie for First

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team rolled to their third win in as many tournaments this season after finishing in first place at the Music City Invitational. Callum Waugh and Rio Saigal won the individual title after the pair finished in a tie for first place.

Waugh and Saigal both produced 216 strokes over the three rounds. Waugh, who competed as an individual, carded a 69-77-70 while Saigal posted a 70-71-75. The pair played the par-4's the best in the field at even and one-over, respectfully. Both managed the second most birdies in the field with 12.

The Blue Raiders dominated the field scoring 875 (294-293-288), winning the event by 20-strokes over second place Campbellsville (Ky.) who finished with a score of 895 (297-302-296). Lindsey Wilson finished the event with five Blue Raiders inside the top-10, including the top-3 spots, and held the lowest scoring averages on all three hole designs.

Lindsey Wilson averaged a 3.08 mark on par-3s, a 4.15 mark on par-4s, and a 4.93 average on par-5s. They produced 46 birdies and 165 pars for the invitational.

Ivan Ninkovic finished just behind his Lindsey Wilson teammates in third place and overcame a sluggish opening round of 78. He then scored an even-par 72 in his second round before producing the lowest 18-hole score in the final round with a five-under 67. He finished with 217 strokes and one stroke off the lead.

Sebastian Sandin finished in sixth place with a 220 (71-76-73) as Janik Hawlitzky just cracked the top-10 in a tie for 10th place with a 224 (75-76-73).

Frederik Strand was the final Blue Raider in action taking 18th place with a 227 (78-74-75).

The event was being held at Twelve Stones Country Club, a par-72, 6,716-yard design.

The Blue Raider return to the course on Monday and Tuesday when they compete at the Southwind Invite in Memphis, Tenn.
