MEN'S BASKETBALL STIFLED BY TIGERS IN HIGHWAY BATTLE

Box Score

COLUMBIA, Ky. – At Biggers Sports Center, the Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team's conference woes continued as the Blue Raiders were subdued at the hands of Campbellsville University, 70-50.

Even with a back-and-forth start in the initial moments of the contest, the locals faced a difficult test containing the Tigers' presence in the paint. Behind 16-point efforts by Malachi De Sousa and Malik Muhammad, the visitors outscored Lindsey Wilson 32-22 from underneath the basket.

The Blue Raider offense was led by 11 points from Elijah Jordan and complimented by an additional nine points from Jackson Harlan off the bench.

As previously mentioned, the early minutes of Tuesday night's action was truly a battle. After Campbellsville had opened up a 7-2 advantage, the Blue Raiders answered right back with an identical run to knot the game at 9-9, capitalized by a Harlan three-pointer.

The Tigers did not let Lindsey Wilson take control for much longer, however, and quickly restored their momentum with a subsequent 18-8 stretch to build their lead to double figures, something the Blue Raiders could not overcome.

The home side finished the evening with a 38-36 edge in total rebounds, including 10-9 on the offensive glass. Rodney LewisConnor Robinson, and Jamyus Jones each secured a team-best five boards.

Lindsey Wilson gets a short break before traveling north to Campbellsville for the two-day Lou Cunningham Classic, hosted by Campbellsville. The Blue Raiders' first game is set for Friday, November 25 versus the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis at 3 p.m. CST.
