COLUMBIA, Ky. – Sebastian Sandin produced a new program record low round of 63 strokes and seven-under-par, helping propel him to a runner-up finish at the Blue Raider invitational. The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team claimed the team title, winning by 12 strokes over second-place Cumberlands (Ky.).
The Blue Raiders posted an 853 (285-290-278) to take the title at their home event.
Sandin finished one stroke off the lead following a 209 (73-73-63). He entered the final round 10 strokes off the leader, Juan Murube who carded a 208 (69-67-72).
Emil Gruhn and Callum Burns cracked the top-five as Gruhn took fourth and Burns in fifth. The pair managed 212 (74-68-70) and 213 (67-75-71), respectively.
Janik Hawlitzky just missed out on the top-10, finishing in 11th place following a 219 (71-74-74). Alfie Yearsley turned in a 38th place finish with a 235 (78-80-77).
Lindsey Wilson also had a "B" team competing in the event which turned in a 10th place finish.
Shane Henderson claimed 16th place with a 224 (75-75-74) as AJ Shagool took 22nd following a 226 (78-75-73). Evan Kidd took 38th with a 235 (79-78-78) as Jarrett Napier and Chase Carpenter finished in 58th and 60th place, respectively.
Lindsey Wilson is back on the course on March 28th when they compete at the Carey Collegiate in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
