RICHMOND, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's bowling team opened their season with a ninth-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Baker Bash on Sunday.
The Blue Raiders knocked down 6,844 pins over 40 baker games. In baker scoring, each of the five bowlers on a team bowls in two frames during the game. The first bowler bowls the 1st and 6th frames, the second bowler bowls the 2nd and 7th frames, etc.
UT Southern (Tenn.) won the event after knocking down 7,666 pins. Cumberlands (Ky.) finished second with Pikeville (Ky.) wrapping up the podium places.
The Blue Raiders hit the 200 mark or higher eight times across their 40 games with the team hitting a high of 248 during their 13th game.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on October 8-9 when they travel to Beavercreek, Ohio for the Orange & Black Classic hosted by Pikeville.
