WILIMINGTON, Ohio – The Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team posted a fourth-place finish Friday at the Jenna Strong Invite.
The Blue Raiders were one of 32 teams competing in the field that was made up of NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA schools. Lindsey Wilson totaled 168 points and were just two points behind St. Francis (Ind.) who finished in third. The Blue Raiders recorded an average time of 20 minutes and 34.33 seconds.
Alyssa Sharp posted the best Lindsey Wilson finish coming in 18th with a time of 20:03.37. Alexandra Solis also posted a top 30 finish coming in 28th with a time of 20:22.56. Clayra Darnell and Alejandra Recarey came in 41st and 42nd, respectively. Darnell crossed the line in 20:42.74 while Recarey finished in 20:44.66.
Laura Cuin-Casimiro finished 52nd with a time of 20:58.31, Olivia Rudder came in 73rd (21:27.52), Lotte Gertler posted an 83rd-place finish (21:40.65), Macey Wilson finished in 98th (21:58.58) and Eliza Hagens placed 134th (22:47.86).
The Blue Raiders return to action on Oct. 20 for the NAIA App Challenge.
