Women's Bowling Finishes First Weekend of Conference in Smyrna

SMYRNA, Tenn. – The Blue Raider women's bowling team opened its Mid-South Conference slate over the weekend in Tennessee in the Music City Classic on Saturday and the Brandon Burns Memorial on Sunday.

For the first of the two tournaments, Lindsey Wilson secured a 12th-place finish with a total pinfall of 5535 through five team games and 12 baker games.

Austyn Raymer bowled a team-high 187 and led the way in 29th place, averaging 171.4 pins.

Janna Plains followed close behind in 42nd with a pin total of 783, and then Abigail Oswald finished in 48th, posting a 151.6 pinfall average.

On Sunday, the Blue Raiders improved a spot to 11th place overall, knocking down 5874 total pins.

Chloe Tooley locked in at 26th after recording 902 for her five-game total, and Plains broke the 200-pin threshold once on her way to a 48th-place finish and 161.0 average.

Oswald closed as Lindsey Wilson's third-highest placer in 77th overall with a pin total of 634.

The Blue Raiders continue their 2023-24 schedule on Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5 in Marietta, Georgia, and the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic.
