COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team fell to No. 1 Grace (Ind.) on Tuesday evening with a score of 79-65.
After a very close first half, the Lancers were leading with a score of 40-37 by halftime. Grace shot 13-30, while the Blue Raiders were shooting 12-27. Freshman Kenyata Carbon was leading the team in points at the half with 11, followed closely by Rodney Lewis with 10. Carbon and Lewis were also leading in rebounds with three and two apiece, and Carbon led in rebounds with five. For Gace, Cade Gibbs led the team in points with 16 and Jake Wadding led in rebounds with four. Brycen Graber and Jakob Gibbs led in assists with two each.
The Lancers took control during the second half, shooting 40% from the field, and ultimately coming out on top. The Blue Raiders shot 32.4% in the second half, with Bryce Brown leading in points with 15 in the match, followed by Carbon and Lewis. Connor Robinson led in rebounds with seven overall, with Carbon and Lucas Ribeiro closely behind with six each. Cade Gibbs remained the point leader for Grace, with a dominating 29 points throughout the match. Elijah Malone and Carter Stoltzfus led in rebounds with nine and eight apiece, and Graber tallied five assists overall.
The Blue Raiders are set to travel to Southeast Missouri State for an exhibition matchup at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 17th.
