COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team defeated Campbellsville Harrodsburg 79-62 Monday at Biggers Sports Center.
Bryce Brown scored a season-high 22 points while on 8-of-14 shooting while grabbing nine rebounds.
Kenyata Carbon added 16 points while
Jayden Lazard scored a season-high 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting with six assists.
Isaac Weaver was also in double figures with 11.
The Pioneers (10-4) got off to a fast start scoring seven of the first nine points. Following a
Connor Robinson layup, Campbellsville Harrodsburg went on a 6-0 run to lead 13-4. The Blue Raiders (7-6) then went on a 6-1 run to trim the deficit to 14-10 with 14:48 to play in the half. The Pioneers responded pushing their lead to double digits with a 6-0 run to lead 20-10. Lindsey Wilson then trimmed the deficit in half scoring the next five points to make it 20-15 with 10:15 remaining in the half. The two teams would trade points for the remainder of the half as the Pioneers led 36-31 going into the locker room.
Campbellsville Harrodsburg continued to lead in the second half as they held a 54-47 advantage with 11:43 to play. The Blue Raiders responded scoring the next six points to make it 54-53 with over 10 minutes left. After the Pioneers scored the next four points, Lindsey Wilson took the lead with an 8-0 run that lasted 1:45 to jump in front 62-58 with 7:30 left.
Following a Pioneer basket, the Blue Raiders scored the next five points increasing their lead to 67-60. Campbellsville Harrodsburg connected on a pair of free throws that made its 67-62 before the Blue Raiders closed the game on a 12-0 run.
