COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team defeated Campbellsville Harrodsburg 104-26 Monday at Biggers Sports Center.
The Blue Raiders (11-4) shot a season-high 62.7 percent from the field and made a season-high 10 shots from beyond the arc. The 26 points allowed are a season-low for Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders held a 54-15 edge in rebounds.
Seven Blue Raiders scored in double figures led by Sydney Hall who scored a game-high 15.
Lucy Patterson recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Jarie Thomas matched a season-high in points with 14 while
Emily Cox scored a career-high 14 points.
Natalie Gentry scored a career-high 11 points,
Janiya Davis and
Taylor Guess each scored 10.
Lindsey Wilson scored the first seven points of the game. Following a Pioneers three, the Blue Raiders then rattled off a 6-0 run to go up 13-3 with 5:45 to play in the quarter. Lindsey Wilson closed out the first quarter on an 11-3 run to lead 29-11.
The Blue Raiders limited the Pioneers to just seven points and held them to just 21.4 percent from the field in the second quarter. Lindsey Wilson shot 61.9 percent from the field while scoring 30 points. The Blue Raiders began the second quarter on a 19-3 run and continued to pull away as they led 59-18 at halftime.
Lindsey Wilson outscored Campbellsville Harrodsburg 45-8 in the second half while not allowing them to score a point in the third quarter. In the final 20 minutes, the Blue Raiders shot 60.7 percent from the field and were 6-of-11 from three.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 2 p.m. CT on Dec. 29 when they host Alice Lloyd at Biggers Sports Center.
