BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team finished runner-up at the Mid-South Conference Championship Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Blue Raiders finished with a 23-over par 887 (302-296-289) to finished tied for second with Cumberlands (Ky.). Campbellsville (Ky.) took home the team title with an 882.
Ivan Ninkovic and Sebastian Sandin each earned All-Tournament Team honors for finishing in the top five. Ninkovic finished tied for second with a 2-under par 214 (75-68-71). Sandin carded a 218 (76-71-71) to finish fifth. Ninkovic carded the most birdies in the tournament with 34 and was one of eight golfers to record an eagle. Sandin tied for third with 34 pars in the tournament and also had the second-best score on par-4s.
Rio Saigal (78-79-72) and Callum Waugh (75-79-75) tied for 18th carding a 229. Janik Hawlitzky rounds out the Lindsey Wilson scoring finishing tied for 27th with carding a 234 (76-78-80).
The Blue Raiders will wait and see if they have earned the conference's second automatic bid into the national tournament. The MSC's second bid goes to the highest-ranked conference team in the final NAIA Coaches' Poll which comes out on May 4.
