COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team will be traveling to Georgetown College this week for their first conference match of the season.
The Blue Raiders are currently 8-6 and are coming off a victory against Clinton College, where for the first time since February 2020, three players tabbed more than 20 points in a game, with Johrdon Mumford scoring a double-double and earning his first career Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honors. Current point leaders for the Blue Raiders this season are Kenyata Carbon with 233 points overall, as well as 89 rebounds, 67 assists and 20 steals. Lucas Ribeiro has tallied 83 rebounds and 10 blocks, and Barrett Burchyett leads with 13 blocks.
Georgetown College is sitting on a 12-2 overall record coming off a 109-71 win over Carolina Christian last week. Currently leading the Tigers in points this season is sophomore Rashad Bishop with 204, followed by senior Cam Brooks-Harris. Kyran Jones leads in rebounds with 118, and Tae Dozier and Jaquay Wales lead in assists with 59 and 57 apiece. Tommy Thomas has the team high in steals with 21 and Bishop leads in blocks with 22.
Thursday's game is set to tip off at 6:30 pm CST and will be streamed live on Georgetown Tigers Athletics.
