Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team fell to Freed-Hardeman on Thursday evening with a score of 100-61.
After the first half, Freed-Hardeman led 53-28. Point leaders for the Lions were JJ Wheat with 10, and Quan Lax with nine. Ryley McClaren, Peyton Law, and Wheat led in rebounds with four, and Lax and Wheat each had two assists. Freed-Hardeman shot 63.6% from the field, 60% for three point shots, and were 5-5 in free throw attempts. For Lindsey Wilson, Rodney Lewis led the team with 10 points, and Kenyata Carbon tallied six. Lucas Ribeiro led in rebounds with five, followed by Bryce Brown with four. Carbon also had two assists and two steals for the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson shot 29% from the field during the first half, 25% for three point shots, and 70% on free throw attempts.
The second half concluded with a victory for Freed-Hardeman. Leading in points for the game for the Lions was Hunter Scurlockwith 15, followed by Lax with 13. Wheat and Chase Fiddler led in rebounds with five apiece, and Lax led in assists with five. The Lions shot 52.9% from the field, 26.7% for three point shots and 70% from the free throw line. Point leaders for the Blue Raiders were Carbon with 15, and Brown with nine. Ribeiro finished the game with 11 rebounds and Carbon had three assists. Lindsey Wilson shot 44/4% from the field, 20% for three point shots and 70% from the free throw line in the second half.
The Blue Raiders will be back on the court again this Saturday, January 20th, against Bethel University (Tenn.). The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. CST at Biggers Sports Center.
