Men’s Basketball to Face Campbellsville and Cumberland This Week

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team will be facing Campbellsville and Cumberland University for this week's Mid-South matchups. 

The Blue Raiders are currently 10-8 overall and 1-2 in conference play. Freshman Kenyata Carbon leads the team in points with 287, followed by Connor Robinson with 167. Carbon also leads in assists with 74 and steals with 26. Lucas Ribeiro leads in rebounds with 107, and Barrett Burchyett leads in blocks with 15. The last matchup between Lindsey Wilson and Campbellsville was on February 4, 2023, where the Tigers came out on top with the final score of 71-66. The last time the Blue Raiders faced Cumberland was on January 21, 2023, with the Blue Raiders winning 77-64.

Campbellsville is sitting on a 13-5 overall record and are 1-3 in conference play, coming off a loss to Freed-Hardeman. Darius Harding is leading the Tigers in points with 205 so far on the season, followed by Cobe Penny with 197. Jace Wallace leads the team in assists with 59, and Chandler Clements leads in rebounds with 123. Harding also leads in steals with 20, and Jay Milburn is leading in blocks with 30.

The Cumberland Phoenix have a 5-13 overall record and are 1-3 in conference play. The Phoenix are coming off a 90-63 loss against Georgetown last weekend. Demarius Boyd leads the team in points this season with 309, and Tristan Conger leads in assists with 43 followed by Doyel Cockrill with 35. Keyshawn Robinson and Boyd lead in rebounds with 70 and 65 each, while Julio Pascual leads in blocks with 11. Boyd also leads the team in steals with 25. 

The Blue Raiders will take on Campbellsville on Thursday, January 25 at 6:30 p.m. CST in Campbellsville, the match will be streamed live here. Lindsey Wilson will be back at home on Saturday, January 27 to face Cumberland at 3 p.m. CST. This matchup will be broadcasted live on the Lindsey Wilson Sports Network.
