COLUMBIA, Ky–  The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team triumphed over Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) with a decisive 5-0 victory on Tuesday evening at home. Throughout the game, Lindsey Wilson showcased its offensive abilities to secure its first win of the season. 

The Blue Raiders were relentless, firing off 15 shots on goal compared to Freed-Hardeman's three. The scoring opened in the 26th minute when Sharon Nadunga passed it to Nataly Chauta in the box who found the back of the net for her first career goal. Moments later, Silvia Marchesi doubled the lead with a penalty kick in the 38th minute.

Less than a minute later, Lara Rocha added another goal, the first of her career, bringing the score to 3-0 before halftime. Marchesi continued her impressive performance by scoring her second goal in the 50th minute, extending the lead further. The final goal came off a brilliant free kick from Amanda Parreiras in the 73rd minute, capping off the Blue Raiders offensive display.

Lindsey Wilson's defense held firm, limiting Freed-Hardeman's opportunities to score. With this victory, the Blue Raiders demonstrated their dominance that they can show on the field. 

The Blue Raiders will look to capitalize off this win during their next game at 7 pm CST on Wednesday, October 9th, when they welcome #18 Georgia Gwinnett to Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
