Dickson, Tenn.- The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team finished in third after the final round concluded at the Music City Collegiate Tuesday at Greystone Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders carded a 9-over par 873 (289-294-290) on the par-72 7,106 yards course. Lindsey Wilson finished 12 shots behind champion Ottawa (Ariz.) and four shots behind NCAA Division II Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.). The Blue Raiders were tied for the second-best par-5 scoring in the tournament at -8.
Johan Bredenkamp's strong day two performance moved him up ten spots to finish third with a 213 (72-72-69) leading all Lindsey Golfers. Bredenkamp carded 10 birdies over the three rounds and was one of 13 golfers to record an eagle.
Rio Saigal (72-74-69) and
Magnus Maahr(68-72-75) - competing as an individual - finished tied for sixth with a 215. Maahr recorded the second-most birdies in the tournament with 15.
Adam Hawthorn 216(72-74-70) made his way into the top ten finishing tied for eighth.
Toby White 230 (78-76-76) finished tied for 61st,
Stanley White 234 (77-80-77) finished tied 78th and
Maciej Janusiewicz who competed as an individual 237(79-74-84) finished 88th.
The Blue Raiders are back in action Oct. 14th for the Gibson Bay Matchplay in Richmond, Ky.
