COLUMBIA, Ky. — Lindsey Wilson men's soccer will kick off against Cumberlands (Ky.) at 2 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium for the Mid-South Conference Tournament final. The game time has been moved up due to anticipated weather conditions.
The Blue Raiders (9-5-2), the tournament's top seed, punched their ticket to the final with a 2-0 semifinal win over Campbellsville. Dominic Ayella scored twice in the first half, both goals set up by Sebastian Tregarthen, while goalkeeper Djiba recorded the team's first clean sheet in six games, putting in a stellar performance.
Cumberlands (13-2-1) earned their place in the final with a 2-0 victory over Cumberland (Tenn.) in the semifinal. Salvador Martinez led the Patriots with a goal, an assist, and four shots, three on target, while Shuma Sasaki added a goal of his own.
In their last meeting this regular season, the Blue Raiders claimed a 6-1 win over the Patriots, with Ayella contributing a brace and Michael Rempel tallying a goal and two assists. Both teams now look to bring their best for what promises to be an intense battle for the MSC title.
