COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team will be traveling to Crestview Hills, Kentucky for the Thomas More Classic Saturday-Sunday.
The undefeated Blue Raiders (6-0) take on Cincinnati-Clermont (Ohio) Saturday at 4:30 p.m CST. and Kent State-Tuscarawas (Ohio) Sunday at Noon CST. After Lindsey's exhibition match against Lee University, the team saw a lot to clean up on as they look to remain undefeated after this weekend.
Julian Cunningham leads the team in scoring averaging 20.3 points per game shooting 53.5 from the field and looks to have another big weekend.
Kenyata Carbon is also having a great season scoring. Besides Cunningham and Carbond, the Blue Raiders have been getting contributions from
Daivel Jackson,
Olson Nicholson,
Johrdon Mumford,
Barrett Burchyett, and
Connor Robinson.
The Blue Raiders have shot the ball very well and play physical defense, two things head coach
Chris Starks preaches to his guys. The offense is shooting 53.5 percent, scoring 96.2 points per game holding opponents to 36.7 percent and 65.7 points a game. Lindsey looks to continue to apply dominance in its matchups this weekend.
Cincinnati-Clermont (1-1) will have its hands full with a Blue Raider team already 6 games into the season. Though the Cougars are averaging 103 points per game Lindsey Wilson will be focused on stopping their attack on the defensive end. Kent State-Tuscarawas who is 1-2 will be the Blue Raiders' second priority where they average 98 points a game look to stop team-leading scorer Kyle Shockley who averages 24 points per game.
