COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Bevo Francis Classic is scheduled to take place in Rio Grande, Ohio where the Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team will take on WVU Tech on Friday and University of Rio Grande on Saturday.

Julian Cunningham leads the Blue Raiders (8-0) in points scoring 18.3 a game while shooting 50.5 percent from the field. High-flyer Daivel Jackson looks to set the tone for the bigs as he looks very comfortable playing with a new group of guys which has allowed him to bring in 14.0 points per game and team-high, 6.1 rebounds. The Blue Raiders have found their identity as they look to defend at a high clip holding opponents to 37.3 percent from the field then capitalize on offense where they shoot 53.9 percent from the floor. 

WVU Tech is sitting at 3-2 and looks to sophomore Breaden Chapman who averages 19.4 points per game and senior Thomas Hailey who averages 18.0 points per game. The Golden Bears as a team average 69.6 points a game, shooting 43 percent from the field making it another tough matchup for the Blue Raiders. 

The Red Storm who are on a four-game winning streak, brings in an experienced group to face this hungry Blue Raider team. Rio Grande has three double-digit scorers Jaelin Johnson, Eric Butler, and Trey Robertson who all look to come up big this weekend. 

The Bevo Francis Classic is named after former Rio Grande player Bevo Francis. The Classic brings in exciting basketball to the city of Rio Grande. 

The Blue Raiders, trying to remain unbeaten, will take on WVU Tech at 11 a.m. CT on Friday and the hosts Rio Grande on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
