Baton Rouge, La.- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team fell to NCAA Division I Southern 94-69 in an exhibition Tuesday. 

Daivel Jackson led the team with 24 points and three rebounds, while Julian Cunningham added 20 points and seven assists. Kenyata Carbon chipped in with 12 points and six assists, but they were the only Blue Raiders to score in double figures. Lindsey Wilson shot 51 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from three in the game.

Lindsey Wilson and the Jaguars were in a back-and-forth battle all the way up until the 8:12 mark in the first half when Southern eventually held control of the lead for the game. The Blue Raiders shot  53.6 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from three in the first half. Lindsey Wilson was outrebounded 21-11 in the first 20 minutes and had eight turnovers.  The Blue Raiders, defensively in the first half, held the Jaguars to just 40 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three as they trailed 43-36.

The second half told a different story. Lindsey Wilson struggled defensively, allowing Southern to score 51 points on 64.5 percent shooting. The Blue Raiders could only score 33 points on 47.8 percent shooting in the final 20 minutes. 

The Blue Raiders will return to action on Saturday at 3 p.m. CST, facing Union (Ky.) in Barbourville, Kentucky.
