Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team fell to Cumberlands on Thursday night with a score of 93-82.
At the half, Cumberlands led with a score of 55-39. For the Blue Raiders, Kenyata Carbon led with 14 points in the half, with four of them in the last minute of play, ending the half with a dunk. Bryce Brown recorded 10 points and three rebounds, and Rodney Lewis tallied two assists. Lindsey Wilson shot for 58.3% from the field and 100% from the free throw line. For the Patriots, J.J. Ramey recorded 21 points and Jonathan Brown had three rebounds. Robertas Jonaitis recorded three rebounds and two assists in the half along with one block. Cumberlands shot 56.8% from the field, 53.8% on three point shots and 75% from the free throw line.
The game concluded with Cumberlands taking the win, with Ramey adding 10 more points in the second half to end the game with 31 overall as well as seven rebounds. Brown had three assists during the game and DJ Jones had four steals. In the second half, the Patriots shot 38.1% from the field, 40% on three point shots, and 71.4% from the free throw line. For the Blue Raiders, Carbon added 11 points, recording 25 overall during the game, four assists and three steals. Brown added 12 more points for 22 overall as well as 10 rebounds, earning himself a double-double. In the second half, Lindsey Wilson shot 42.9% from the field, 33.3% on three point shots, and 64% from the free throw line.
The Blue Raiders will be at home again on Saturday, February 3rd against Georgetown. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. CST at Biggers Sports Center and will be broadcasted live on the Lindsey Wilson Sports Network.
