COLUMBIA, Ky. – The (RV) Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team fell to No. 3 Campbellsville 73-46 Saturday on Senior Day at Biggers Sports Center.
The Blue Raiders (16-9, 4-5 Mid-South Conference) were led by
Lucy Patterson who recorded her eighth double-double of the season scoring 14 points and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds.
Sydnie Hall was the other Lindsey Wilson player in double figures with 12.
Lindsey Wilson struggled offensively in the first quarter connecting on just 23.1 percent of their shots from the field (3-of-13). Campbellsville opened the game scoring 10 of the first 12 points. Lindsey Wilson made it 10-4 before a 6-0 Tigers run increased their lead to 16-4. Jaire Thomas made a layup as time expired to make it 16-6.
Lindsey Wilson cut the Campbellsville lead to 21-12 before the Tigers went on a 9-3 run to increase their lead to 30-15. The Blue Raiders scored four of the final six points in the half to trail 32-19 going into the locker room. Lindsey Wilson improved its shooting in the second quarter going 6-of-18 (33.3 percent).
Campbellsville outscored the Blue Raiders 41-27 in the second half as the Tigers secured the 73-46 victory. Lindsey Wilson shot 38.5 percent in the second half while Campbellsville shot 44.7 percent from the field.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Thursday when they travel to No. 15 Cumberlands at 4:30 p.m. CT.
