However, the Patriots showcased their dominance at home, securing a 85-75 victory over the Blue Raiders.
The game saw good performances from three LWC players who finished in double figures. Connor Robinson led the charge with 18 points, accompanied by three rebounds. Bryce Brown contributed significantly with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Kenyata Carbon added 15 points and led his team in assists with four.
The Patriots quickly asserted their dominance from the start, with Matthew Cromer making a steal and a fastbreak layup, setting the tone for the game. The back-and-forth action unfolded with both teams exchanging leads, showcasing the competitive spirit on the court. J.J. Ramey's second three-pointer of the half broke the tie, giving the Patriots a three-point advantage. The first half concluded with two good free throws for each team, with Cumberlands holding a 43-40 lead.
The Blue Raiders did not start the second half in the best way as the Patriots extended their lead to 10 points. Despite Lindsey Wilson's attempts to close the gap, the Patriots held their ground.In a testament to the Blue Raiders' resilience, they battled back, narrowing the deficit to just five points. However, the Patriots responded with a decisive run, expanding their lead to 11 points. LWC was not able to respond and the game ended 85-75 in favor of Cumberlands.
