COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team will be playing their final two games of the regular season this week against Bethel University (Tenn.) and No. 8 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.).
The Blue Raiders have a 14-11 overall record and are 5-5 in conference play. Freshman Kenyata Carbon leads the team in points with 410 this season, as well as in rebounds with 137, assists with 110, and steals with 38. Barrett Burchyett leads in blocks with 19 and Lucas Ribeiro is tied with Carbon in rebounds with 137. The last time the Blue Raiders faced Bethel was on January 20, where Lindsey Wilson fell by four points with a final score of 65-61. The last meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Lions was on January 18, with the Lions pulling away with the victory.
Bethel is currently 14-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play. The Wildcats are coming off a 77-75 win against Cumberland on Saturday. Leading in points for Bethel is senior Querrion Gadson with 421 as well as in assists with 83 and steals with 49. Junior Brennon Marsh leads in rebounds with 153 and in blocks with 21.
Freed-Hardeman has an overall record of 23-4 and are 9-2 in conference play, coming off a 91-63 win against Fisk on Tuesday night. JJ Wheat leads the Lions in points with 371, followed by Quan Lax with 327. Hunter Scurlock has recorded the most rebounds with 129 and steals with 53, while Lax has tallied 100 assists. Chase Fiddler has notched the most blocks with 21 along with Scurlock who has 17.
Thursday's game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. CST and will be broadcasted on the Bethel Broadcast Network. Saturday's game is scheduled for 3 p.m. CST and will be broadcasted on the Lion Digital Network.
