McKenzie, Tenn. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team defeated Bethel on Thursday with a score of 84-79.
The first half concluded with Bethel leading 42-38. For the Blue Raiders, Kenyata Carbon led with 12 points, followed by Bryce Brown and Connor Robinson with eight apiece. Robinson added three rebounds along with one steal and Carbon recorded three assists in the half. Lindsey Wilson shot 46.7% from the field and 76.9% from the free throw line. For the Wildcats, Querrion Gadson recorded 14 points and Brennon Marsh had eight points along with four rebounds and three blocks. Tyler Neely had three assists and Dwight Reed had two steals. Bethel shot 58.6% from the field and 88.9% from the free throw line.
The Blue Raiders took the lead in the second half and came away with the win. Carbon added 16 points in the second half for a total of 28. Brown and Lucas Ribeiro each recorded 15 points during the game and Robinson had 14. Brown and Ribeiro both contributed eight total rebounds and Carbon had five assists while Robinson tallied a block in the half. Lindsey Wilson shot 60.7% from the field and 63.6% from the free throw line during the second half. For Bethel, Gadson added 15 more points in the second half, totalling 29 and Connor Guthrie recorded 13 total points. Marsh had 10 total rebounds as well as three blocks. Neely added one more assist for a total of four while also adding two steals during the half. The Wildcats shot 39.3% from the field, 50% on three point shots and 50% from the free throw line during the second half.
The Blue Raiders will be traveling to Freed-Hardeman on Saturday to play their final regular season game. Tip off is set for 3 p.m. CST.
