BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's bowling team finished runner-up at the Mid-South Conference Championship Saturday at Southern Lanes.

The ninth-seeded Blue Raiders advanced to the championship match with a 4-3 victory over top-seeded Pikeville. Lindsey Wilson took game one 198-190 before the Bears tied the series with a 202-166 victory in game two. Pikeville took a 3-1 lead in the series winning game three 175-161and game four 208-184. The Blue Raiders stormed back winning the next three games. Lindsey Wilson took game five 213-191 and forced a seventh game with a 193-171 victory. The Blue Raiders edged out the Bears 205-189 in the seventh game.

Lindsey Wilson needed two wins against No. 2 seed Tennessee Wesleyan to win the championship. The Blue Raiders forced the if-necessary championship match winning the first one 4.5-3.5. Tennessee Wesleyan won the first two games 213-168 and 197-159 before the Blue Raiders won game three 191-154. The two teams finished game four tied at 202. Lindsey Wilson won the next two games 182-179 and 167-124 to go up 3.5 to 2.5. The Bulldogs evened the series with a 190-161 victory before the Blue Raiders forced the if-necessary match winning 190-176.

In the final championship match, the Blue Raiders fell in game one 210-151 and lost game two 199-154. Lindsey Wilson took game three 206-196 while the Bulldogs won the next two games to capture the championship 198-178, 220-170.

Lindsey Wilson is back in action on March 8 for the ISC Sectional Qualifier in Smyrna, Tennessee.
